Your tasks:

  •     inspiring, leading, integrating and managing the Hydro Development and Projects team and its consultants, suppliers and other stakeholders to fulfil the company’s UK hydro aspirations
  •     ensuring a healthy hydro development pipeline for the business by creating a robust and informed development strategy and signing up the development rights for as big a share and the best sites for the remaining realistically developable UK hydro resource as possible

Your key duties will be:

  •     managing hydro development (including acquisitions)
  •     delivering new builds in time and on budget
  •     supporting small hydro development and construction throughout Europe, if requested
  •     being the senior manager for UK hydro in Scotland
  •     acting as deputy to UK Head of Hydro for hydro operations
  •     supporting hydro lobbying in Scotland
  •     delivering the RWE Innogy UK hydro business plan

Your profile:

  •     engineering or other degree and membership of an appropriate professional institution
  •     proven track record in the field of hydro and marine technology, development, construction and operations
  •     experience of contract management and contractual negotiations
  •     ability to work at all levels within the organisation, with local and national government and with trade associations and other key stakeholders
  •     good communication and influencing skills
