Logistics & Warehousing Specialist
Position Description: We are seeking a Logistics & Warehousing Specialist to work with the Materials Services Division under the Materials Services Department.
The Materials Services Division supports the storage and movement of materials throughout Saudi Arabia from the warehouses until delivery to the end user. The Division is the responsible function of Materials Services Department to develop, negotiate, administer and maintain relationships with leading 3 / 4 Party Logistics & Warehousing service providers. Materials Services Division is responsible to provide high quality logistics & warehousing services to Saudi Aramco operations throughout the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Duties And Responsibilities: The Logistics & Warehousing Specialist will be directly involved in logistics & warehousing program development and will serve as an internal consultant to management for the development, negotiation and execution of major contracts with 3 / 4PL outsourcing arrangements, using performance based SOW / contracts and managing contractors. Additionally, the successful candidate will support management on a broad portfolio of logistics and warehousing functions for Saudi Aramco including Health, Safety & Environmental programs and SAP Warehouse Management Systems updates and optimization.
BS degree in Supply Chain / Logistics, Business or Finance / Accounting or equivelant. MS / MBA is preferred.
10 years’ experience in Logistics / Warehousing with direct experience managing warehousing operations and implementing 3 / 4PL outsourcing arrangements, using performance based SOW / contracts and managing contractors for five years.
SAP MM / Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) business systems & process knowledge is required with implementation or upgrade of SAP WMS highly desired.
Experience with design and analysis at both a network and facility level. Developing sophisticated solutions to deliver world class operational support, focusing on safe, efficient, and consistent warehousing performance.
Development and documentation of operational processes for ongoing operations, transformational change, and future operational vision.
Identifies and evaluates hazardous conditions and practices in the workplace. Conducts and coordinates on-site inspections to audit physical conditions and safe work practices.
Provides advice and counsel concerning compliance with corporate safety regulation and procedures.
Lean Six Sigma Training and / or certification in (Green belt or above) is highly desired.
Professional Certification in Logistics & Warehouse Management / Supply Chain / Contracts Management preferred.
Five years’ experience in Project management experience is desired.
Flexible, excellent team player, good interpersonal skills and be able to contribute to teams.
Ability and willingness to work outside of business hours, and weekends if required.
Energy industry background or Middle East / previous expatriate experience is preferable.
