Reporting to the Team Lead of the Employee Centre, you will be part of a dedicated team that provides Human Resources (HR) support to employee/retirees across Suncor on a variety of HR policies, programs and procedures, such as benefits, pension and compensation.

  • Respond and be the primary contact, via phone and email, for all Canadian based Suncor employees/retirees and HR Business Partners on company-wide HR policies, procedures, and program inquiries
  • Process HR/payroll related employee life cycle transactions in SAP accurately while ensuring proper audit controls are met
  • Create awareness and provide assistance to employees and leaders on how to navigate through Suncor’s intranet to locate HR information
  • Provide accurate information and timely resolutions related to employee/retiree and leader inquiries
  • Identify gaps in internal processes, procedures and documentation and recommend process improvements
  • Track all inquiries using a Customer Relationship Management system
  • Refer appropriate inquiries to program specialists or business unit HR staff as necessary
  • Support special projects and act as a Super User for various HR online tools

Educational Qualifications:

  • Post-Secondary Degree in Human Resources is preferred
  • SAP HR experience is preferred
  • Bilingual in both English and French is an asset

  • Proven organization and analytic skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • Highly professional team player with superior interpersonal and communication skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Strong computer skills with the ability to navigate a variety of software products, and familiarity with using online tools
  • Ability to work in an open environment

This is a temporary position for a one-year term
