The Network Assets Asia Pacific team is looking for a high caliber individual with in-depth knowledge of data communications, security, Steelhead and wireless technologies. Candidate must be familiar with Telecom, networking knowledge like routing, switching, IP addressing, subnets, QOS, VPN, Firewalls, wireless, compression and acceleration.
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
Provides Network, Security, acceleration and Wireless related consultancy and operational support to the Business Partners
Manages complex projects relating to Network, security and Wireless technologies
Ensures project timely reporting and delivery
Executes Asset Life Cycle Management plans
Executes change management activities, eg hardware refresh
Facilitates and manage the provisioning of new sites and offices
Ensures network devices and facilities meet Information Protection standards
Supports Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plans
Enforces a strong focus and disciplined approach to maintenance and improvement of network availability and reliability
Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) and practitioner
Degree holder with majors in IT or Network technology
Minimum 8 years in the IT networking area working various LAN, WAN, security and wireless technologies
Strong hands-on knowledge of Cisco and Juniper products such as routers, switches and security appliances including some knowledge of voice and video over data operations
Strong knowledge of telecommunications technologies
Strong leadership, communication and business engagement skill
Must have active CCNA, CCNP
Good working knowledge of Remedy, Voyence, TACACS, EMC SMARTS (or other SNMP base tools)
Juniper certification, ITIL v3 Foundation and PMP certification is highly desirable
Relocation will not be considered within Chevron parameters.
