We are currently looking for Seasoned HR Professionals with wide experience ranging from HR services to HR Business Partnering and could also include Organization Effectiveness, Employee and Industrial Relations, Policy and Remuneration to join our Human Resources Team as Senior HR Advisors in Shell Gabon. The Senior HR Advisors will be expected to Understand Business/Functional strategies and objectives and translate these into specific HR actions and initiatives. Key responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Engage employee representatives and managers on staff consultation issues
  • Develop and implement appropriate resourcing strategies
  • Improve organization performance through HR reporting, analysis and proposed interventions
  • Advise and work with management on interpretation, communication and application of relevant Legislation and maintain awareness of wider organizational impact and external context
  • Understand, develop and apply performance, reward & benefits policies processes and systems and understand their impact on performance and their ability to drive business results
  • Coordinate activities with other HR professionals, including HR services where necessary for service  delivery and implementation within client group
  • Support business change and the management of organizational implications
  • Articulate the value of performance, reward & benefits policies to the employee and the cost/benefit to the company.
  • Translate polices into practical solutions for businesses and individuals

A University degree in any discipline with 10 -15 years hands on HR Generalist role working experience in a reputable organization. Should have a proven track record of successfully managing and delivering key HR projects on time, within scope with end-to-end accountability

  • Ideally a strategic thinker with a sense of good judgment.
  • Demonstrate a broad understanding of Gabon labour laws, regulations and practices
  • Bilingual – English & French; Very good experience with HR systems and IT capacity at Skill level
  • Able to deal with multiple, often conflicting goals and priorities.
  • Able to build and maintain strong relationships with leaders as well as team members.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
