Job Description:

We are currently recruiting for a graduate calibre Engineer to join our experienced Air Systems & Life Support Development Systems team at Honeywell Aerospace Yeovil. This role will be based at our site in Yeovil.
This role will require the individual to develop, plan and execute a variety of test solutions to support customer and regulatory requirements and provide direct support to the production base to resolve technical issues for Honeywell Aerospace Yeovil products including Life Support Systems, Environmental Control System and Components.

Key Responsibilities:
-Develops and implements test solutions to support fault isolation and product investigations as appropriate
-Develops test planning and forecasting to maximise test facility utilisation.
-Develops and assists with implementation of cost-effective methods of testing, troubleshooting of systems and test equipment.
-Will liaise between engineering and Honeywell Integrated Supply Chain to status current test programme activities. Actively supports integration of product from engineering to production environment. Investigation and implementation of engineering documentation changes
-Capable of working within small teams of skilled engineers on key projects, reporting out to ETS Site leadership team as required.

Technical Knowledge and Leadership
-Understands and applies fundamental engineering principles to develop a specific product.
-Leads and interfaces with stakeholders including internal leaders, Chief Engineers and resident experts to accomplish program objectives.
-Provides technical input to support decision making for the project team.
-Supports prioritization of tasks, sequencing of work and timing of completion.

-Clearly and succinctly communicates project status and risks.
-Ensures timely information flow between team members.
-Communicates regularly with peers and team members.
-Interfaces with customers and suppliers on technical matters.
-Presents materials in internal and/or routine external project-related meetings

-Recent Graduate in Mechanical Engineering (or similar) degree qualification
-Strong communication skills
-Leadership impact – the ability to take on and manage a task.
-Drive and ability to get results

Skills / experience preferred
-Familiarity with SAP and Microsoft Project systems
-Familiarity with Aircraft systems preferred but not essential
-Knowledge of Six Sigma tools / certification desirable
