Brief Posting Description

We are currently recruiting for a Lead Operations Technician on a permanent basis, located on our Dana Triton Contract offshore.

Supervisory and Managerial Duties:

    • The LOT is directly responsible to the OTL
    • The LOT is responsible for the supervision of the shift Production Operators, the Utilities operator and the Laboratory Technician.
    • Compliance with the Safety Management System
    • Basic Purpose of Job:

      Lead Operations Technician (LOT)
      The key responsibilities are as follows:
      • Ensuring the security of company assets by operating the TRITON FPSO in a safe and efficient manner.
      • Maximisation of oil and gas production in line with company targets and within flare, emission and OIW consents.
      • Validate the daily production report, well test data and ensure operations logs are maintained.
      • Main Duties:

        • Issuing Authority for the Dana Permit to Work (PTW) system, in conjunction with the OTL.
        • Co-ordination of Production Operations under the guidance of the Offshore Team Leader.
        • Monitoring, control and reaction to the process control, emergency shutdown and Fire and Gas System.
        • Start up and optimisation of plant and process systems through the use of Honeywell, Scada and KOPL subsea control systems.
        • Monitor well performance and maximise oil and gas production within Triton specification.
        • Assist in annual and interim appraisals on Operations staff in conjunction with OTL.
        • Co-ordination of fluid sampling on the hydrocarbon process plant and utility systems, and analysis in the laboratory by the Laboratory Technician.
        • Quality check on all reports e.g. Well tests, Daily Production report, Laboratory sheet.
        • Ensure compliance with maintaining 100% availability of on line safety critical equipment for online equipment.
        • Coordination and planning of production safety critical maintenance through Maximo ensuring safety critical compliance.
        • Record defects using the Maximo MMS to ensure resolution is achieved in the most expedient time and fashion
        • Health and Safety Responsibilities:

          • Support Triton HS&E processes and requirements
          • Demonstrating leadership and commitment and fostering a culture where health, safety and the environment are not compromised.
          • Be a member of the offshore Fire Fighting Team.
          • Facilitate Emergency Management via the control room.

Job Requirements

            Competency Requirements:
            • City & Guilds Process control – ONC/HNC

            Specific Training / Specialist Skills:

            • Experience of Computer Maintenance Management Systems.
            • Experience of DCS systems.
            • Experience of Fire & Gas systems.
            • NVQ in relevant discipline
            • Experience:

              • Must have previous experience in a similar role.
              • Must have offshore experience – FPSO desirable but not essential
              • CRO experience
              • Personal Skills:

              • Good communication & interpersonal skills.
              • Good analytical and report writing skills.
              • Computer Literacy
