Job Description:

Preparation for operation:
Support all activities described in the Pre-Operations plan for example:
* Competence and Training of Operations personnel
* Help establish Operational Systems, Processes and Procedures for Production and Utility systems (System & Operating documents)
* Perform verifications of start-up procedures
* Help develop Integrated Operations systems
* Participate in employment process for Offshore manning
* Continuous focus on identifying and handling Risks concerning operation
* Assist Asset Integrity during the Commissioning and Handover process
* Ensure preservation process is performed correctly
* Ensure essential maintenance is carried out during post commissioning and handover of plant and equipment

Offshore Duties and Responsibilities during Operations phase:
The Production Supervisor reports to the OIM. The responsibilities for this position are:
Leadership and Emergency Response Duties
* Emergency Response – carry out emergency duties as identified in Emergency Response Plan, or as directed by the OIM
* Supervise emergency response competence and training, ensuring ER roles are covered at all times
* Ensuring a safe system of work for all activities in production areas through the Safe Work system
*Actively support Safety and Sustainability responsibilities in the Production department
* Provide input into HAZANs, risk analysis, procedure reviews and audits as required
* Participate in the investigation and reporting of accidents & incidents and provide corrective actions as appropriate
* Supervise and maintain the Competence Management system for all Production personnel
* Deputise for OIM when required, including Emergency Response Duties

Technical Duties
* Supervise Production personnel in collaboration with the onshore Production Supervisor
* Supervise Senior Technicians (Mechanical, Electrical and Instrument) who will belong to the Production Department
* Operation of assigned operational system and area responsibilities as defined in the Statoil Management system
* Collaboration with the onshore operation group with respect to cost control
* Continuously attempt to improve Asset financial performance
* Achieve performance targets as described in Goal setting table within Statoil (MIS)
* Ensure efficient diagnosis and repair of process and utility system upsets utilising Senior Technicians
* Conduct assigned preventive and corrective maintenance is carried out as agreed with the Maintenance Supervisor
* Resource Responsibility for Senior Technicians in rotation to the onshore Operation Group
(Slow rotation rota)
* Supervise plant and equipment specific training
Onshore Duties and Responsibilities during Onshore period (Slow Rotation):

The onshore Production Supervisor (rotating onshore 1 year in 4) reports directly to the Operations Manager.
He/She is responsible for:
* Management of personnel including recruitment, hiring, resource coordination and replacements when personnel are absent in consultation with the offshore Production Supervisor
* Support the Offshore Production Supervisor in terms of administration workload
* Plan the Maintenance management of assigned production (business) and safety critical maintenance
* Quality assurance of operational plans, including capacity
* Collaboration with the Asset with respect to cost control
* Continuously attempt to improve the Asset financial performance

Desired Skills and Experience

* Extensive operational experience
* An Engineering Degree, HNC/ONC is preferable but not essential
* Extensive Production Supervisor experience
* Extensive knowledge of relevant UK Regulations related to Offshore Operations
* Possess the ability to handle responsibility and occasional high work-loads
* Understand and manage risk
