About the role
BHP Billiton Coal is interested in hearing from HR professionals who are looking for a new career opportunity and are able to make a difference through influencing and partnering with the business to achieve results. Working in dynamic and progressive HR teams, you will provide advice to employees and line managers on effective people processes to influence the culture and performance of our business.
As a HR Business Partner you will be responsible for the following:
Identifying and implementing improvement initiatives;
Responding to general enquiries on HR policies and procedures;
Developing and implementing HR projects;
Assisting line managers in understanding IR principles, legislations and industrial instruments;
Supporting line managers with workforce planning activities, performance management, talent processes and so on; and
Coaching and supporting superintendents and supervisors in people management including HR systems, policies and processes.
You will have strong HR experience, where you have had good exposure to working with and coaching supervisors across a broad range of HR issues. It is important that you are proactive, have an eye for detail and are process driven to achieve results. Naturally your communication and interpersonal skills will be a strength as you interact with a variety of stakeholders. Additionally, it would be beneficial if you have a formal qualification in a relevant discipline, and gained experience from a diverse range of industries. Our HR Business Partners are based in our Brisbane office, however regular site travel is a required.
