Head of Planning & Well Performance at Qatargas – Qatar

Qatargas pioneered the liquefied natural gas (LNG) industry in Qatar. Today, Qatargas is the largest LNG producer in the world, with an annual LNG production capacity of 42 million tonnes per annum (mta) and is realising its vision to deliver LNG to its customers around the globe, from its world-class facilities in Qatar. Qatargas has seven LNG trains, of which four – known as Mega Trains – are the largest in the world, each with a production capacity of 7.8 MTA. Since the establishment of Qatargas 1, Qatargas has completed a successful and ground breaking expansion programme that has included the development of Qatargas 2 the world’s first fully integrated value chain; followed by Qatargas 3 and Qatargas 4 projects; the world’s largest Laffan Refinery, a dedicated fleet of Q-Max and Q-Flex ships that have the world’s largest LNG capacity using step-out technology; Europe’s largest regasification terminal; and Liaison offices in Japan, China, Thailand and the USA.
