PwC’s Technology Consulting team work with organisations to design IT strategies, develop technology architecture and design, and build enterprise application solutions, sourcing, project management and operational management.
Our Project Delivery services team is a key part of our Technology Consulting business. Organisations are rightly expecting a measurable return on their change projects, yet many of these fail and of the ones that succeed, few meet the expectations of Senior Management. Against this background, businesses need to deliver the right projects at the right time and close down those that no longer add value. As a trusted independent adviser, clients rely on our expertise to help them organise and deliver projects to achieve those objectives.
We are currently seeking a Project Manager with minimum 10 years’ experience to join our Project Delivery services team in Technology Consulting.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience as a Project Manager in complex IT Programs, and an ability to advise clients as to how to increase the likelihood of project success. You will also play an active role in client development, contributing to the strategic direction of the business and coaching junior members of the team.
Requirements of the role include:
- Working as part of a team in similar programs
- Engaging with a variety of stakeholders in a complex external environment
- Developing and Implementing IT Project Management frameworks
- Developing, coaching and leading teams in achieving Project goals and outcomes
- Excellent stakeholder and communications skills
- A proven history of delivery, including the ability to manage self and be highly organised
- Experience based planning and scheduling skills, covering activities and resource estimation
- Rigorous attention to detail and quality management standards
- Reporting to senior management on progress and issues
- Follow up on outstanding issues and drive them to resolution
