Primary Deliverables:

  • To deliver the FPSO and ‘MEG’ module package in accordance with the project schedule and budget, meeting the requirements of the project in relation to safety, quality, reliability, operability and maintainability throughout its 40 year service life span.
  • Ensure that the EPC contractor and its subcontractor are performing works in accordance to project specifications, in line with project schedule and priorities and policies.
  • Ensure the proper coordination between different teams, the preparation, supervision and the follow-up of hook-up and pre-commissioning activities.
  • Deliver Modules Package  –  M07 (MEG subsea injection pumps, seawater lift filter, biocide/chemical equipment) and M06 (MEG treatment module).
  • Responsible for ensuring the satisfactory completion of hook-up and pre-commissioning of systems in terms of quality of work, schedule and budget including “Ready for Commissioning” dossiers.
  • Liaise with various interfaces (contractors & sub-contractors, vendors, company departments) and assist the hook-up team for the resolution of engineering queries, material or vendor issues  to minimise the impact on hook-up and pre-commissioning.
  • Actively demonstrates HSE leadership by taking a proactive role in the promotion of safe working practices
Key Experiences Requirements:

  • Minimum 12 years’ experience in onshore & offshore construction within the oil & gas industry including working in Korea and Australia.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in similar position working in hook-up and pre-commissioning phases of a project.
  • Experience with large production platforms, working offshore and with live facilities

Mandatory Requirements:

  • BOSIET – required for those involved the Tow phase
  • TBOSIET – minimum requirement for those individuals mobilized post Tow phase
  • Working at Heights
  • Confined Space Entry
  • An applicable Engineering degree (Masters preferred)

Recommended Requirements:

  • Provide First Aid
  • Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status

Critical Skills and Capabilities:

  • Demonstrate a high level of awareness in safe working practices associated with the design, construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning and installation and hook-up of offshore oil and gas facilities.
  • Excellent communication and written skills (English) and ability to work with different disciplines and cultures.
  • Sound knowledge of OPERCOM and ICAPS commissioning management system.
  • Extensive experience working under permit to work systems and adhering to permit to work conditions.
  • Strong capability to work to project schedules and budgets in an offshore environment.
  • Proactive in prevention and practical resolution of technical problems relevant to area and discipline.
  • Knowledge of industry construction codes and standards relevant to area and discipline.
  • Experience of pre-commissioning and system handovers
