Our waste and resource management team in Scotland is at the forefront of the emerging circular economy. Waste and resource management is evolving from being a “back-end” concern dealing with wastes when they arise, to one that optimises resource use throughout material lifecycles using business models, innovative design, supply chain collaboration and symbioses. You will have the opportunity to support the team and learn from the experience of delivering a range of varied and innovative projects in an ever-evolving area of growth.

The role will be at Assistant Consultant level and it can be part or full-time. It will support the team in data management, modelling and analysis. You will also support the team in a range of tasks for a diverse selection of clients. Other tasks will involve contribution to bids, writing reports and other ad hoc support where needed.

In addition, you will be required to provide support as required to other parts of our business. This reflects the increasingly multi-disciplinary nature of our work. This will provide an opportunity to develop skills in different sectors such as renewable energy generation, oil and gas and a range of other environmental disciplines

Since we work with a wide range of organisations adaptability and flexibility is essential.

If applying for the role as part-time, hours are flexible.

We will consider applications from a range of backgrounds including waste management, management consultancy, business enterprise and innovation, energy, economics, policy, design, engineering and others if it can be demonstrated to be relevant.

Qualified to degree level or equivalent in a relevant Environmental or Engineering discipline. We would expect you to have a professional interest in resource management including the circular economy, resource efficiency, resource management, recycling, energy recovery, business enterprise, innovation, economics or design.

The ability to work within a team is essential, as is a willingness to be adaptable to different work.
