Danny Perez is the product line director for drilling technologies for the Eastern Hemisphere at NOV. He is responsible for introducing new technologies and growth of established products. Danny began his oil and gas career at Schlumberger in 1999 before joining ReedHycalog in 2003 as an evaluation engineer. Danny has also held positions as advanced drilling solutions global ops manager and Eastern Hemisphere manager for ReedHycalog bits and for Drilling and Intervention. Danny holds an electrical engineering degree from Purdue University (USA), a master’s degree in business administration from Mississippi State University (USA), and an executive development program certificate from Rice University (USA).
Global Product Line Manager
Joey Martinez has held the position of global product line manager of drilling Agitator™ systems at National Oilwell Varco since 2014. Prior to his current position, Joey served as a drilling solutions engineer II from 2011 to 2014. Before he worked at NOV, Joey held positions as general field engineer at Halliburton and field engineer at Baker Hughes, serving on assignments in Texas, Thailand and Saudi Arabia. Joey holds a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from Texas A&M University (USA).
Vice President – DH Drilling Technologies
Peter Shwets has served as vice president of drilling technologies for National Oilwell Varco since 2014. He joined NOV in 2006 and has held the roles of operations manager in the Arabian Sea region, global product line manager for motor and power section technology, EHO regional director of drilling tools and global director of manufacturing for power sections. Prior to his career at NOV, Peter served as president of Mechanical Design Innovation Ltd., providing design and consulting services for oilfield and manufacturing companies in Alberta, Canada and Houston. Peter holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Alberta (Canada).
Product Line Director
Ryan Gee, P. Eng., is product line director for drilling technologies for the Western Hemisphere at NOV. Ryan joined National Oilwell Varco in 2003 as a design engineer for mud motors. After several years as engineering manager, he was named product line director for NOV drilling motors and drilling Agitator™ systems before taking on his current role in 2015. Ryan holds a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from the University of Alberta (Canada), and he is a member of SPE and APEGA.
