Qatargas Organizes a Day of Fun and Entertainment for 150 Children

Doha – Qatar, Qatargas organized a day of fun and entertainment for nearly 150 children from Qatar Orphan Foundation (Dhreima) at its winter camp in the Sealine area.  The children were hosted by Qatargas as part of the community engagement aspect of its corporate social responsibility.
The children enjoyed the various facilities available at the camp including bouncy castles, video games, table tennis, billiards and volleyball.  Other entertainment activities on offer included henna and face painting.
In addition to enjoying themselves with fun and games, the children also received valuable information regarding health related topics.   The Qatargas Medical Team delivered interactive presentations on dental health and hand hygiene.
As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives, Qatargas is keen to engage with the local community at all levels with the objective of making a positive and lasting contribution.  Qatargas recognizes the importance of integrating these children into society and ensuring that they are protected and cared for.
Qatargas’ initiatives in the field of Community Development include its strong presence in the Ras Laffan Community Outreach Program, whereby it works closely with companies in RLIC to develop the northern areas of Qatar. It also cooperates with charity organizations in Qatar to extend all possible support to communities inside Qatar and abroad.
The participation of the Qatar Foundation for the Care of Orphans “Dhreima” in the event was coordinated by the Dhreima Friends Club, which aims to integrate the orphans in the community through various social, religious, sports, cultural and entertainment events and activities in partnership with all sectors of Qatari society
The Dhreima complex which was officially opened in 2007 targets to provide an integrated system of care and shelter for orphans in the State of Qatar through experience, research and consultation to achieve family development and social solidarity.
